In her new exhibition entitled “The Stories That Write Us”, Ramoso draws upon defining life events among women and weaves them into a compelling visual narrative. “I asked some people about events that they thought were turning points for them, and it seems that a lot of us share common cusps that we consider life-changing. These are more general themes such as falling in love, getting married or being with a partner, breaking up, getting sick, and facing the death of a loved one,” Ramoso shares. “It appears that no matter where we come from, or what our state in life is, the experiences that we hold dear to us are those that we share with people that we value.”

Rebie Ramoso’s digital paintings will be on display at the Galleria La Pigna, which sits at the Palace of Vicariato Maffei Marescotti, a historic and cultural centre in Rome.  Renowned art critic and artistic director, Dr Rosi Raneri, will be curating the exhibit.  About Rebie Ramoso’s digital paintings, Raneri shares, “Rebie Ramoso’s works make us aware of our emotions and allow us to identify with shared life experiences.  Her digital paintings have a way of emanating poetry and human warmth.”

Rebie Ramoso is a visual artist based in Manila, Philippines.  She is known for her use of digital media in creating hyper-realistic paintings that depict complex emotions portrayed in common human experiences.  Her works have been exhibited internationally, including New York, Belgium, and Italy.
