She then went on to complete her first two years of residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the UCLA Medical Center followed by her last two years of residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and her fellowship training in surgical pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston, Massachusetts.
