Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace Begins Its Sacred Journey in the New York Metro Area.

East Brunswick, New Jersey Apr 7, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami (birthday of Lord Rama, deity of Hinduism), a revered day in the Indian spiritual calendar, several individuals gathered in harmony to witness a historic momentthe groundbreaking ceremony of the Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace (SVCWP) in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The event marked not just the beginning of construction, but the awakening of a dream once envisioned by Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswanito create a sanctuary of peace in the Western world.
Spiritual leader Didi Krishna Kumari, who leads the global Sadhu Vaswani Mission, chose this sacred day to begin construction on the land where, for the first time in the West, a memorial shrine (samadhi) will be built to honor both Sadhu T.L. Vaswani and Dada J.P. Vaswani. In her words, This is not just a sanctuaryit is a shrine, a promise of peace and harmony for generations to come.
The day began with a soul-stirring performance of the newly composed World Peace Song, sung by Mohit Budhwani and a group of children from the Sadhu Vaswani Gurukul. Their voices echoed through the air, reminding everyone that peace begins with the young and must be passed forward with love.
As tradition holds for Sadhu Vaswani Mission services, a sacred text by either of the two masters is opened to a random page to receive divine guidance for the day. On this occasion, the Anjali Sangrah, a sacred compilation of poems and spiritual messages written by Dada J.P. Vaswani himself, was opened. The message that emerged felt divinely chosen: The trumpets have begun to play, melodies of shehnai and sitar echo. Do you know whos coming? Ah! Do you know whos coming? Its the procession of light: Wake up, rise and see! Do you know whos coming? Ah! Do you know whos coming? The embodiment of love, is opening the doors of hearts! Wearing blue robes, He brings joyful divine play! Playing the flute sweetly, He raises longing in the hearts! He gazes with deep eyes, and stirs the soul! Pushing away darkness, He Ignites the eternal light! The divine sage, the life-giver, seek Anjali his blessings! He Himself is coming, ah! He Himself is coming! Dada Shyam, Dada Shyam! Hare Krishna Hare Ram!As it was read aloud by Nirmal Mirchandani, a longtime devotee and gifted singer, he choked up and his voice trembled as the eyes of many gathered there were filled with tears. It was a moment of divine reassurancea sign that Dada J.P. Vaswani had kept his promise from many years ago, during His first visit to the site of the upcoming Center: When you no longer find me in Poona, look for me here. His presence was felt by all.
Attendees included multiple generationslittle children, youth, elders, seniorsdevotees, families, committee members, and volunteers, all moved by the energy of love and unity. The construction team, community leaders, and the full SVCWP committee, including Chairman Eddie Datwani, President Ashok Lalwani, and advisors Chandru Mahtani, Ashok Gurnani, and Sunil Ahuja, amongst several others were present to commemorate the occasion.
